Success Stories

My personal experience:

Hi, my name is Michelle Wilson and I have been working with Bridging Initiative International since last year. I feel very strongly about my work with Bridging because I was homeless myself not that long ago and have experienced what daily life is like living on the streets. It can take all day just to get a few simple things done...meaning just getting your basic needs met. Being homeless and surviving is a full time job. I have a lot of understanding and compassion for those on the streets and I know what they're going through as I experienced it myself. I remember just getting a shower, washing your clothes or charging your phone was sometimes an almost impossible feat and often took all week. When you're homeless, trying to connect with resources is truly not even on your radar as those things obviously come secondary to survival. Homeless ministries like Bridging (who truly care) can help give people on the street a second chance and connect them with resources they just didn't have the energy or the opportunity to seek out on their own. I was given a second chance and I am now off the streets and have been so incredibly blessed. Bridging has given me the opportunity to go back out to the streets to give back to others what was so freely given to me.
